Senior Security Analyst
Description:
The Senior Security Analyst is responsible for the following:
- Analyzing and evaluating information technology (IT) security risks and controls
- Providing and implementing IT risk reduction recommendations
- Developing policies and procedures related to information security
- Performing general IT control reviews
- Generate IT and IT security related proposals
- Designing IT security infrastructure
- Participating in IT strategic planning
- Participating in e-business planning and risk assessment
- Project leadership skills - be able to lead a project and manage direct customer interaction
Position Requirements:
For consideration, candidates should have the following:
- Minimum of five years experience working within an Information Technology Information Systems or an Information Security role
- Practical experience with network administration and/or IT infrastructure development across multiple platforms
- Experience with security tools
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems, engineering or related competency
- Optionally a CISA, CISSP, or GIAC certifications, or the willingness to obtain within the near future
- Ability and willingness to travel 60-70% of time
- Strong communication skills
Additional Experience preferred, but not required:
- Ability to generate sales and sales leads
- Internal auditing experience
- Consulting background
- Software development background
- Knowledgeable with IT security and regulatory compliance
- Experience working in the financial or defense sector a plus
